BEING. PRESENT

A practice-based performance art workshop from Monday September 11 - Friday September 15 at 1pm - 4pm

In times of destruction, uncertainty, permanent threats, whether it is near or far, values are changing. The war in Ukraine became one more challenge to reconsider many points which existed as a constant in our lives in the 21st century. We are changing.

"Being present" becomes stronger and priceless nowadays, when death is close at hand, when we are balancing on the edge of the known and the unknown, doubt and despair, intimacy and memory. "The more you live, closer the past is", the distances start to functions in many different ways. Presence, which we constantly talk about in performance art, acquires a sacral meaning today because it is so much about life. It has specific energy, rhythm, temperature, it reveals evidence of movement, it creates memories.
