From Inner to Outer;
Embodied Intuition in Public Space
Workshop description:
Isn’t it so that the most intriguing and striking performances are the ones where the performer is very present? Where the performance body & action is authentically radiating presence and pure essence?!
I invite you to peel of layers, open up your intuition, dive deep inside your raw primordial source. To embrace it all and connect your Being with the Being of a site specific!
We will explore with curiosity:
How can I open, trust, and follow more my intuition and bodily sensitivity?
Ànd how to perform with this sensified openness in a ‘safe and relaxed’ way in the (often) ‘rough’ public space without loosing this openess?!
Tools:
1.Chikung:
every workshop starts with accessible Taoistic Chikung-excersises for more relaxation, bodyawareness, trust of the natural bodyintelligence & losing the inner-critic. We will also extract short-cuts that you can use in your own performances when you are tense.
2.intuitive methods:
following impulses, improvising, true ‘listening’, making abstract voice-sounds, doing unnoticeable public actions (to experiment while there is not yet public paying a lot of attention or artistically judging you), using repetition/trance/durational-technics etc.
3.concrete research methods:
exploring the specifics and atmosphere of an outdoor space by making architectural performative-photographs, drawing, sounding, giving it time-based-attention, and more.
