About Out of Site artist collective

Out of Site started curating and producing public performance art in 2011 in Chicago, U.S. At the heart of our work we engage the public in surprise encounters and create collaborative performances fostering international connections within our community of artists. In June 2020 we pivoted to working as a collective group of international artists meeting bi-weekly to rethink, re-imagine and reflect on our work. Out of these collective conversations we grew the four strands to our current programming: Flow • embody in site, an annual symposium on public performance art practices; Artist Focus, a weekly conversation with artists who have a public performance art practice in the Spring and Fall; supporting artists to create public performances currently working on the Intercity project co-curated by ieke Trinks & Carron Little; and facilitating practice-based workshops on our platform.

To sign up for notifications for registration to Flow, when performances go live, and for our weekly Artist Focus please scroll down and sign up for our emails. Alternatively, you can watch and dip into the Artist Focus archive on our YouTube channel that includes excerpts of artist’s performances.

The members of our collective include: Beau Coleman (Edmonton, Canada), Dimple B Shah (Bangalore, India), Duff Norris (New York City, U.S.), Carron Little (Glasgow, Scotland/ Chicago, U.S.), ieke Trinks (Rotterdam, Netherlands), Fereshteh Tossi (Miami, U.S.), Marilyn Arsem (Boston, U.S.) and Martine Viale (Perpignan, France).
