The environment, is the extension of the body. The body is the extension of the environment.

Workshop description:

Through this workshop, participants will explore how the body-mind can embody the intangible and visualize the invisible. Ayako will use somatic exercises informed by Chinese meridians, Myofascial meridians, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and Ideokinesis. Through both improvisational and compositional exercises, participants will nurture a keen awareness of the expansiveness as well as the depth of being through the physical and mental tensegrity (tension x integrity) to establish new relationships within and around us. In transformative manners, participants will have step by step opportunities to build the skills to make ordinary (moments) into extraordinary (moments) as a performer and human.
