intimate care

Over time I have come to the conclusion that creating, is the best way to reflect, on how we relate to the world around us.

And now, more than ever, I am convinced that Art is Life, and vice versa. Above all, I am interested in observing creative processes as life processes: the decisions I make, the means I use or the emotions I experience are related and merge in these two spheres: the art and the life. Based on this idea (or this feeling), my aim with my artistic projects is to provoke situations that I wish for myself and for those around me: pleasure, fun, emotion, affection, reflection, growth... My intention is to create projects in which enjoyment (as I understand it) is the basis of them.

An outline of four practice - based workshops

In my opinion, shared creation is fundamental as a starting point for the simple reason that relating to other people enriches us. And in this sense, action art becomes the ideal vehicle because it is based on the here and now, on honesty and experience.

In my work, sometimes I am interested on offering an action related to care or affection: like to tuck you in a bed while telling you a story or to offer to wash your face, feet, hands... I think these actions are a challenge (a satisfying one, however) as provoking intimate contact with strangers is not easy.

This workshop for Flow • embody in site is to coordinate and create a shared action in which the idea of care and intimate contact are present.
