A Performance Lecture
In this presentation-dialogue, I would like to give an inside in my art performances from the past 2 (Pandemic) years supplemented with key-works I made in the period before. I would like to share lots of visual materials like performance registrations, video performances, performative self-portraits, photos, video stills and my so-called (sketchy) videotography.
My work made the past 2 years a big shift from the (clean/safe) white cube to more raw and open public spaces & nature, and also my work got more internationally exposed: video performances and live zoom actions were shown in performance events and video festivals in: India, Bangladesh, the U.S., Chili, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Belgium.
Beside this, Instagram became a more important platform for me where I met lots of international performers with whom I started collaborating in simple sketchy ways. For instance with Anniken Weber (Norway), Mohamed Asad (Iran), Sofia/ Silentscreamerclub (Finland) and Mert Yikilmaz (Turkey): we communicated (and still do) through max.1 minute-action-reaction-videos which creates interesting video chains.
